A little about Pearl & Laurel

A personal practice that became something worth sharing.

I started feeling like I was rushing from one role to the next. In the span of a single day, I’m a mom helping Pearl get ready for daycare, a professional making important decisions at work, someone trying to keep a home running, a wife, a dog mom, and eventually someone trying to find a little quiet before the day ends.

While these may not be difficult on their own, the hard part is carrying one role into the next. I found myself bringing the stress of work home, thinking about my to-do list while playing with Pearl, or rushing through bedtime instead of being present for it.

I realized I didn’t need another planner or productivity system. I needed something that reminded me who I wanted to be before I stepped into each next moment.

That’s when I began sourcing intentional bracelets for myself.

Each bracelet represented a mindset I wanted to carry into a particular part of my day.

One reminded me to begin the morning with patience. Another reminded me to stay focused and present at work. Another helped me leave work behind and become present for my family. And the next, for the rest and personal time we all need.

The bracelets became small physical cues to pause, breathe, and intentionally transition into the next role instead of carrying those roles forward.

Why “Pearl & Laurel?”

The name Pearl & Laurel is deeply personal. Pearl is my daughter and she reminds me every day why being present matters. Together, Pearl & Laurel reminds me why this work exists. It reminds me to slow down, to listen, to remain intentional. The smallest reminders can change the way we move throughout the day. That’s the reminder I hope to share with others.
